NEW LEVELS, NEW DEVILS

I’m going to come out and say it. Polyphia has topped every Progressive Rock/Math Rock album that I’ve ever listened to. With this new record, New Levels, New Devils, they have me believing deals with the Devil might not be as unlikely as one might think. This album features sophisticated and complex songs, tight bass riffs, and legendary features(Yvette Young, are you kidding me? How good can this album get?). I think what’s the most shocking about this album is the insane progression from their prior album, Muse. We’re not hating on that record, but Muse was just not this. When I listened through Muse for the first time, my jaw did not become unhinged from the utter shock of how absolutely insane it was(I’m just throwing it out there, they most likely made a deal with the Devil, because there is just no fucking way). If you have not listened through this album yet, I suggest you get the fuck on that as quickly as possible. If you’re looking to dip your toes in, the best songs on the album are undoubtedly G.O.A.T., O.D., and Rich Kids(I guarantee once you listen through these, you won’t be able to stop).

Polyphia has absolutely reached new levels, leaving everyone struggling to keep up and who knows, maybe they’re new devils(we’re not ruling it out).
